Job Description:
Support database performance, stability, and optimization efforts for a hosted application environment. Work within Jira to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve database-related tickets, focusing on SQL scripting, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Manage tickets in Jira related to database performance, stability, and bug fixes.
- Analyze and refactor complex stored procedures and SQL queries to improve performance and scalability.
- Perform schema updates and migrations across environments.
- Review and optimize database indexes, file structures, and configurations.
- Collaborate with team members to assess current database challenges and propose solutions.
- Participate in performance tuning and ongoing database monitoring.
- Contribute to discussions on potential migration of databases to Azure.
Requirements:

Must-Haves:
- Strong SQL experience, including scripting and query optimization.
- Hands-on experience refactoring complex stored procedures for performance improvement.
- Experience performing schema updates, migrations, and database administration.
- Familiarity with performance tuning, indexing, and file structure optimization.
- Experience working in Azure environments.
- Ability to troubleshoot database performance bottlenecks.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills in a remote, team-based setting.
